Demak DJ 90 is locally assembled in Malaysia and this 2nd model was launched on May 21, 2017. The differences between the 1st model and this one is mainly cosmetic. There is however one major improvement for this new product which does not come with the clutch now (similar to the more established Demak EX 90). Main advantage to this is a "Mini Easy Rider" which is easier to handle and with the riding experience similar to most kapcai.

• The easy rider looks
• The extra large 8 litre fuel tank (most 90cc categories only have about 3 - 4 litre tank)
• It has no clutch making it easier to ride
• The dealer's assurance of 2 years manufacturer warranty although book says 1 year
• Affordable price of below RM3,300 on the road. If you op for 1st party insurance you will need to add RM120.

I like everything about the bike except for the double seat (dual straight). Lucky for me the seller (Mr Adi and Mr Chong) was able to order for me a single seat from the manufacturer. This took about 3 weeks to arrive.

If you are planning on buying this bike, you should not expect any built-in modern days gadgets like fuel indicator, gear position indicator light and more. Just remember that this bike is designed to look classic and in the old days there are no such gadgets.
